Produced a fully dimensioned manufacturing drawing of a pump shaft from a supplied STEP model. The project required creating a third-angle engineering drawing with correct dimensions, tolerances, fits, and geometric tolerance information. A key part of the task was calculating the allowable shaft shoulder distance to achieve the required end-float between two plain bearings, using the given housing and bearing tolerances. This developed my understanding of manufacturing drawings, tolerance stack-up, fits such as H8/f7 and H7/k6, and how dimensional decisions affect real mechanical assembly performance.
